ELEVEN DAYS THAT FLEW BY

ELEVEN DAYS THAT FLEW BY

Some journeys feel easy from the very first day.

Yaswanth and Sejal were newly married when they travelled to Japan from Bengaluru. They had already planned a little bit of Japan on their own, including a visit to Disneyland, before joining Beyond Tokyo's Immersive Japan journey.

What they wanted was balance. A journey that gave them the energy of the big cities, but also the slower, deeper side of Japan that is harder to plan on your own.

Over eleven days, that balance slowly became the heart of their journey.

A journey after Disneyland

Starting with Disneyland gave them the fun, high-energy side of Japan.

But once they joined the group, the rhythm changed.

The journey moved through Tokyo, the Japanese Alps, Takayama, Shirakawa-go, Kanazawa, Kyoto and Osaka. Each place brought a different feeling.

There were bright city evenings, quiet old streets, mountain views, temple mornings and long train journeys that became part of the memory.

That is what Immersive Japan is designed to do. Not just show one version of Japan, but many different sides of it.

Travelling as strict Jains

Food matters deeply when you travel.

For Yaswanth and Sejal, this was especially important because they follow a strict Jain diet.

Japan can feel challenging for vegetarian and Jain travellers if they are travelling completely on their own. Menus are not always easy to understand. Ingredients are not always obvious. And even when a place looks vegetarian, it may not always be suitable.

Throughout the journey, we helped them with food guidance, restaurant suggestions and practical support so that they could travel with more comfort.

It is a small detail from the outside.

But on the ground, it changes everything.

Good travel is not only about where you go. It is also about feeling looked after while you are there.

The surprise of Takayama

Before the journey, it would have been easy to assume that their favourite memories would come from Tokyo or Kyoto.

That is what most people expect from Japan.

But for Yaswanth and Sejal, one of the strongest memories came from Takayama.

The old streets, the mountain-town atmosphere and the slower rhythm stayed with them. A simple cycle ride became one of those moments that quietly defines a trip.

That is the beauty of going beyond the obvious places.

Sometimes the memory you did not expect becomes the one you talk about the most.

Eleven days that flew by

By the end of the journey, it did not feel like a standard group trip.

It felt personal.

We had shared meals, helped each other through small travel moments, walked through different parts of Japan together and formed a bond that stayed beyond the journey itself.

Yaswanth and Sejal were generous with their words after the trip, and their review meant a lot to us.

But what mattered more was seeing them experience Japan in a way that felt comfortable, joyful and full of discovery.

That is exactly what Beyond Tokyo hopes to create.

Journeys that are carefully planned, but still leave room for surprise.
