Clean, comfortable, centrally located boutique or business hotels chosen for walkability and cultural feel.

Yes, rooms are twin-share by default (two separate beds).

A single room upgrade can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to availability.

Rooms are twin-share, meaning two separate beds in the same room. If you are traveling alone, we will only pair you with another traveler of the same gender.

Yes. Female travelers are always paired only with female travelers.

This is guaranteed. No exceptions.

If we are unable to pair you with another female traveler, you will not be placed in a mixed-gender shared room.

You will be offered either:

  • A single room at a reduced single-supplement, or
  • The option to upgrade fully to a single room

You will be informed before final confirmation, so you can decide comfortably.

Yes. Many of our groups include solo female travelers, and the environment is safe, respectful, and inclusive.

MEALS & DIETARY NEEDS

Breakfast is included daily.

Lunches and dinners are left open so you can explore freely.

Yes, we assist to the best extent possible. Strict Jain options may be limited in smaller towns and your trip lead will guide alternatives.

TRANSPORT & LUGGAGE

Mostly by JR rail, including local trains, express trains, and Shinkansen where planned.

Most days involve 8–12k steps at a relaxed pace.

One medium suitcase (20–24") and one day bag is recommended.

VISA & DOCUMENTATION

Yes. We provide a simple, clear document checklist.

We can also support you through the process with an additional nominal cost. (optional)

At least 6 months beyond your return date.

SOLO TRAVELERS & GROUPS

Absolutely. Many travelers join solo.

We will try. If a match is not available, a single room supplement may apply.

TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN

Yes — families are welcome, and Japan is one of the safest and easiest countries to travel with children.

The journeys are best suited for children 6 years and above, as the experience involves daily train travel and moderate walking.

Yes, children age 6 and under can travel free on JR trains and buses if they do not occupy their own seat.

However, during busy periods, seating may not always be guaranteed.

For comfort, many families choose to reserve a seat for their child — this has a cost.

Yes. Many parents choose to reserve a paid seat for the child for comfort, especially on long-distance Shinkansen journeys.

No.

Hotels in Japan typically charge per person, not per room, and beds are not shared by default.

So children are counted as individual guests when rooms are booked.

Yes. Every traveler, including children, receives travel insurance coverage during the journey.

Yes. Each traveler, including children, receives an eSIM with data, so parents can stay connected without worrying.

Many shrines and public gardens are free for younger children, but museums, trains, ropeways, cultural workshops, and some experiences may charge based on age.

IMPORTANT BOOKING NOTE FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN

Every traveler, including children, is counted as an individual participant at the time of booking.

Because in Japan:

  • Train seats (including Shinkansen) are reserved per person
  • Hotel rooms are priced and allocated per guest, not per room
  • Travel insurance must be issued per individual
  • Many cultural sites, workshops, and experiences require tickets per participant

This ensures that each child has their own seat, their own bed, and their own coverage, so the journey is comfortable, safe, and smooth for your family and the group.

BEFORE THE TRIP

  • A pre-departure planning guide
  • A packing checklist
  • eSIM setup instructions
  • Visa support details
  • And a WhatsApp group invite closer to travel

PRIVATE GROUPS, CORPORATE TRAVEL & JOINT FAMILY TRIPS

Yes. Both journeys can be arranged as a private departure for your group, friends’ circle, family, or team.

A private journey can be arranged for 6 or more travelers.

If your group is smaller, we can still arrange it — pricing may adjust based on group size.

Can we customize the dates?

Yes. For private groups, dates can be customized based on your availability, season preference, and pace.

Yes — private group trips can include:

  • Additional cities
  • Special experiences (art, history, tea ceremony, temple stay, crafts)
  • Slower or faster pacing
  • Dining preferences
  • Celebration moments (anniversaries, birthdays, etc.)

Your answer

REFUNDS, VISA OUTCOMES & UNEXPECTED SITUATIONS

We understand this can be disappointing. However, because we make advance payments toward hotels, trains, and experiences in Japan to secure your place, we are unable to offer refunds in the case of visa rejection. Our journeys are small-group and planned in detail, so bookings are made on behalf of each traveler well before departure.

We do provide:

  • A complete visa document checklist (free of charge)
  • Guidance on applying correctly & recommendations to help reduce chances of rejection (optional add-on for a additional nominal cost)

The final decision remains with the Japan Embassy/Consulate, and we cannot influence or guarantee approval.

We are not able to issue refunds in situations of illness or other personal circumstances. Once trip arrangements are confirmed, much of the cost is already committed to hotels, transportation, and service providers in Japan who have strict non-refundable policies.

However:

  • Your travel insurance may cover certain medical cancellation situations, depending on the provider’s terms.
  • We will help you provide supporting documents for insurance claims if applicable.

In most cases, yes — if the request comes early enough (atleast 30 days before trip start date)

We can assist with transferring your booking to another traveler, as long as the replacement traveler:

  • Meets visa eligibility requirements
  • Completes the necessary documentation
  • Takes over all costs and responsibilities

We’ll guide you through this if needed.

Our group sizes are intentionally small, and arrangements are priced and confirmed per traveler in advance. Hotels, train passes, and cultural experiences in Japan follow non-refundable and non-adjustable pricing structures. To maintain fairness to all travelers and the integrity of the group experience, we follow a consistent policy for everyone.
