With a maximum of 10 travellers, the group is small, friendly, and easy to settle into. Your trip lead is with you throughout the journey, so you'll always have support when you need it—while still enjoying plenty of time and space to explore independently.

Japan is one of the safest countries in the world, and our journeys are designed to feel comfortable and welcoming for solo female travellers. We stay in safe, central neighbourhoods, travel together between destinations, and women are always paired with other women for twin-share accommodation.

Your trip lead takes care of navigation, tickets, restaurant ordering, and day-to-day communication throughout the journey. You'll naturally pick up a few simple Japanese phrases along the way—but there's absolutely no expectation that you speak the language.

We always stay in exceptionally top-tier, clean, comfortable, and well-located hotels in safe, central neighbourhoods with excellent access to public transport and local dining.

Hotel rooms in Japan are typically more compact than in Europe or North America, but they're modern, efficient, and exactly where you want to be.

We regularly welcome vegetarian, vegan, Jain, no-egg, and other dietary preferences.

Your trip lead will help with restaurant selection, ordering, and recommendations throughout the journey. While strict Jain options can be more limited in smaller towns, we'll always do our best to help you find suitable meals.

Expect around 8,000–12,000 steps on most days.

We walk at a comfortable pace, take regular breaks, and use Japan's excellent train network to travel between destinations. This is designed to be an enjoyable journey—not a race from one attraction to the next.

Visa decisions are made solely by the Embassy or Consulate of Japan.

If your visa application is unsuccessful, refunds will be handled in accordance with our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Japan is one of the safest, cleanest, and most family-friendly countries in the world.

Our journeys involve regular train travel, public transport, changing hotels and moderate daily walking. Children who are comfortable travelling and exploring tend to adapt very well.

There isn’t a fixed minimum age.

Every child is different. A well-travelled 4-year-old may be perfectly comfortable on the journey, while another child may find the pace more demanding. Parents know their children best, so we leave that decision with you.

Little travellers are always welcome.

We don’t believe parents should be financially penalised for bringing a little one along. So we keep our child pricing simple, thoughtful and fair.

Pricing is based on the child’s age at the time of travel.

Under 6 years:

• Complimentary when travelling with two adults as the only child. They share existing bedding, and all journey entries and experiences are included. A separate transport seat is not reserved or guaranteed.
• 50% of the adult price when travelling with one adult, or when the family is travelling with more than one child. This includes their own transport seat and all journey inclusions, while sharing existing bedding.

6 years to under 12 years:

• 70% of the adult price, including their own bed, transport seat and all journey inclusions.

12 years and above:

• Standard adult pricing applies.

Room and bedding arrangements depend on each hotel’s occupancy policy. If an additional room or different room configuration is required, we’ll always let you know about any additional cost before you book.
